RESEARCH DAY 2026 - A Celebration of Scholarly Excellence and Innovation
Nehru Group of Institutions celebrated Research Day 2026 at the Brahmagupta Auditorium of Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre (NCERC), bringing together the academic community to celebrate research excellence, scholarly achievements, and the spirit of innovation.
The programme commenced with a one-minute silent prayer in fond memory of the beloved Founder Chairman, Late Shri P. K. Das, followed by a universal prayer. Prof. Dr. Anoop K. J., Principal, NCERC, delivered the welcome address.
The event was inaugurated by Padma Shri M. Chandradathan, Former Director, VSSC, following the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the distinguished dignitaries. Dr. P. Krishnakumar, Pro-Chancellor, P K Das Deemed-to-be University, and CEO & Secretary, NGI, delivered the keynote address.
Prof. Dr. H. N. Nagaraja, Vice-Chancellor, P K Das Deemed-to-be University, offered words of guidance, while Dr. A. P. Jayaraman, Principal Scientific Advisor, NGI; Scientist Communicator; President, STEAM Academy; and Chairman, NCSC, shared his words of wisdom, inspiring the gathering to pursue meaningful research and innovation.
The programme also featured the distribution of awards recognising research excellence and scholarly achievements, celebrating the contributions and accomplishments of the academic community.
Prof. Dr. N. Gunasekaran, Principal, JCET, proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
Research Day 2026 served as a meaningful platform to recognise academic achievement, inspire new ideas, and reaffirm Nehru Group of Institutions’ commitment to fostering a vibrant culture of research, innovation, and knowledge creation.
