Functions of the committee

• To assist and encourage the students to participate actively in organizing and conducting indoor and outdoor games across various disciplines
• To make sure smooth conduct of sports and cultural events within the college
• To recommend the students to participate in various intercollege tournaments
• To maintain the records of sports and games events attended by the students within the college, university and outside of the state.

SPECTRA 2025

The SPECTRA 2025 sports event organized by the Student Nurses Association (SNA), Northeast Zone, was held on the 20th and 21st of May 2025 at Government College of Nursing, Palakkad and Government College of Nursing, Thrissur, respectively. The event served as a platform for student nurses from various institutions to showcase their talents, foster camaraderie, and promote the holistic development of nursing professionals through healthy competition and collaborative spirit.

The two-day event included a variety of sports events. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from numerous colleges under the SNA Northeast Zone. P K Das College of Nursing actively participated in the event, fielding a team of talented students who competed in multiple events. The students demonstrated commendable skill, discipline, and enthusiasm throughout the programme. Our students placed in third position for shotput and carroms.

The organizing committees at both Palakkad and Thrissur ensured smooth conduct of the events, with excellent arrangements for hospitality, coordination, and time management. SNA advisors, and student volunteers played an instrumental role in the successful execution of the programme.

Spectra 2025 was a vibrant and enriching experience that provided valuable exposure to the students and enhanced inter-institutional interaction. The P K Das College of Nursing expresses its sincere appreciation to the organizers and congratulates all participants for their spirited involvement.
